Join NASEO for the joint Powering Up Data Centers and NASEO-NARUC Grid-Interactive Efficient Buildings Working Group Webinar, Data Center and Large Load Flexibility to Meet Energy Demand Growth, which will explore the potential of large load flexibility to integrate into US power systems alongside a case study in Phoenix, Arizona.

This session will be held on Thursday, August 7, from 2:00 – 3:30 PM ET and will feature several (invited) speakers providing perspectives on the topic of data centers and load flexibility:

• Findings from Rethinking Load Growth: Assessing the Potential for Integration of Large Flexible Loads in U.S. Power Systems, a report by the Nicholas Institute for Energy, Environment & Sustainability
• Results from a flexible data center pilot in Phoenix, Arizona, with presentations from Emerald AI and Arizona Public Service

The NASEO Powering Up Data Centers series aims to enhance State Energy Offices’ understanding of the challenges and opportunities associated with data centers and ensure that State Energy Offices are better equipped to develop policies and programs to meet the energy needs in their states and propel economic development. The NASEO-NARUC Grid-Interactive Efficient Buildings (GEB) Working Group provides a forum for State Energy Officials and state utility regulators to explore demand flexibility, GEBs, distributed energy resources (DERs) and related grid-edge technologies and applications; inform policy, planning, programs, and regulation; and help advance pilots, demonstration, and implementation.
