The North American Insulation Manufacturers Association has updated the Building Energy Code Calculator to include Passive House to the list of available codes and to add a national view. The calculator projects energy and energy cost savings as well as emissions avoided from adopting and enforcing up-to-date residential and commercial model energy codes. The tool allows users to select national, statewide, or metropolitan area impacts of adopting and enforcing new energy codes. The calculator guides the user through the required inputs to provide snapshots annual and cumulative energy and energy cost savings and avoided emissions through 2040.
