Last month, the National Coal Council approved a new report titled, “Power Reset: Optimizing the Existing U.S. Coal Fleet to Ensure a Reliable and Resilient Power Grid” for U.S. Secretary of Energy Rick Perry. The report, which was conducted at the request of the Secretary, provides four recommendations to increase the reliability and resilience of the nation’s electric grid by optimizing the U.S. coal fleet.
