On March 21, 2018, the U.S. House and Senate negotiators reached agreement on the $1.3 trillion FY'18 omnibus federal appropriations bill providing substantial increases to many U.S. Department of Energy programs, including the U.S. State Energy Program which will receive $55 million (up from $50 million in FY'17) and the Weatherization Assistance Program which will receive $251 million (up from $228 million in FY'17).
The House passed the bill with a vote of 256-167, and the Senate is expected to take up the bill in the very near future to avoid a government shutdown this Friday. The White House has also stated that the President will sign the bill into law. Following is a table of key DOE office and program funding levels for FY'18 (pending the bill being signed into law) and prior years.
