Governor John Hickenlooper has signed into law HB 13-1105, creating the Colorado Energy Saving Mortgage Program. The program allows an $8,000 mortgage reduction for new or renovated zero-net energy homes that achieve a Home Energy Rating System (HERS) score of 0. Homes achieving a HERS score below 50 are also eligible for a reduction of up to $6,000.
