NASEO will host a virtual states-only workshop for State Energy Offices to discuss comprehensive State Energy Plans in the context of meeting growing energy demand. Energy demand is rapidly rising, driven by a combination of increasing industrial activity, data center proliferation, and medium-to-heavy duty transportation investments. To meet this emerging need, State Energy Offices are exploring plans, programs, and policies that will enable increased power generation and delivery, grid reliability, and energy affordability, while also meeting state energy and economic development goals. This workshop will feature State Energy Office speakers who have recently released or will be releasing comprehensive energy plans to discuss how their planning efforts are being shaped by these trends and will also offer attending states a chance to discuss their comprehensive energy planning efforts and identify successes and areas for assistance. Please come prepared to discuss your state’s planning efforts as part of this workshop. If you have any questions, please reach out to Sam Cramer at scramer@naseo.org.
