NASEO-NARUC GEB Working Group Webinar: Considerations and Approaches for Grid-interactive Efficient Buildings (GEB) Pilots

As part of the larger U.S. Department of Energy technical assistance program on GEB, the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) is providing technical assistance (TA) to Washington and Hawaii on considerations for GEB pilots. This webinar will summarize key points from a technical brief developed for Washington on GEB pilots and the approach being taken to develop a tailored technical brief for Hawaii. This webinar will also include brief presentations from staff of the Washington Department of Commerce and Hawaii Public Utilities Commission on their motivation and interest in GEB pilots and how they plan to use the TA. Technical brief topics that will be covered include:

  • Defining and developing a common language for GEB
  • Grid benefits and services achievable through GEB
  • Utility and state priorities potentially addressed through GEB
  • GEB pilots goals, metrics and data
  • GEB examples
