The Trade Council of Denmark and the Embassy of Denmark in the U.S. (TCNA) have partnered with NASEO to devise a series of engaging and interactive ‘Virtual Tours’ to introduce NASEO members to Denmark’s offshore wind industry and policies, in advance of a proposed exchange mission to Denmark in 2021.

On November 10, NASEO and the Trade Council of Denmark (TCNA) held a discussion with leading offshore wind developers, transmission operators, fund managers, and credit agencies in Denmark about transmission and financing considerations for offshore wind, as well as a virtual tour of offshore wind facilities. During this virtual event, participants explored what transmission strategies have worked and what needs to be done to meet long-term offshore goals. In addition, speakers highlighted how financial models have evolved to meet offshore wind development and transmission build-out needs, and examined likely future trends.
