September 18, 2012 - 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 pm. ET
From Arlington to Albuquerque, New Jersey to New Mexico, over 25 state and community-wide building energy competitions have been launched leveraging ENERGY STAR resources. This session will explore how competition can inspire public and private building owners in your state to reduce their operating costs and their environmental footprint by challenging them to improve their facilities' energy efficiency. Attendees will receive guidance on how to define the competition scope, dedicate human and capital resources to the effort, measure success, communicate to both participants and the public, and recognize achievement. ENERGY STAR tools and resources that can support all aspects of your competition will be highlighted, along with successful state and local model programs.
