Consumer protections are a vital component of effective RPACE policies and programs. This call featured discussants from the National Consumer Law Center (NCLC), the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), and the Energy Programs Consortium (EPC) to discuss the potential benefits to consumers participating in RPACE programs, and highlight strategies for addressing and mitigating the potential risks. A follow-up call featuring PACENation's and PACE industry stakeholders' actions and views on RPACE consumer protections was held in early 2017.
