Governor Ricketts Names David Bracht Director Of Nebraska State Energy Office

Governor Pete Ricketts recently announced the appointment of David Bracht as Director of the Nebraska Energy Office and Mark Quandahl as Director of the Nebraska Department of Banking and Finance.

Bracht of Omaha is a partner at Stinson Leonard Street, LLP where he co-leads the renewable energy group and serves as counsel to companies involved in energy development, including biofuels, biomass, and wind energy. He has advised on major wind and ethanol projects including an advanced cellulosic biofuels plant utilizing first-of-its-kind technology in the United States. Previously, Bracht was a partner at Husch Blackwell from 2004-2013. Prior to his tenure in private practice, he worked in Washington, DC at the United States Department of Agriculture from 1990-1993 and was Associate Manager of Federal Crop Insurance. He also served as Legislative Assistant to State Senator Phil Erdman.
