Governor Gary Herbert and the Utah Office of Energy Development hosted the Energy Development Summit June 3-4, in Salt Lake City. During the event, Governor Herbert released the Utah Energy Efficiency and Conservation Plan. Chris Wagner, NASEO Program Manager, presented at the event and presented on NASEO's research and guidelines on state energy plans from across the country. The event featured over 1,200 attendees and several tracks of breakout sessions on energy topics relevant for Utah and the country, including solar net metering and EPA's recent proposed rule on carbon emissions from existing power plants.
