State Energy Offices can be valuable resources to military leaders seeking to deploy efficiency and alternative energy projects on domestic military installations under the Defense Department’s energy strategy. A NASEO article titled, “Win-Win: Collaboration Among State Energy Offices and the U.S. Department of Defense,” featured in ACORE’s recent industry review, Renewable Energy for Military Installations, explores the positive economic impacts of military installations on local economies and State Energy Offices’ support for the bases’ energy advancements. Four examples of cooperation among SEOs and military leadership demonstrate the value in these partnerships.
