The U.S. House Appropriations Committee has moved a bill forward to the Energy and Water Subcommittee that proposes to reduce U.S. Department of Energy funding for renewable energy programs by $911 million in fiscal year 2014. The proposed funding for fiscal year 2014 is $983 million, nearly one-half of the fiscal year 2013 enacted level.
