NASEO Regions
NASEO has launched a Regional
Coordinators Program to facilitate
communication and program coordination
within regions. The American Recovery
and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) has
led to numerous opportunities and
challenges for the SEOs. Assisting
states in enhancing their programs
through the Regional Coordinators
Program will serve to boost the
visibility and significance of the
activities that state energy offices
lead and invest in.
NASEO has seven regional coordinators.
Each has held a leadership position at a
State Energy Office and has a
longstanding relationship with NASEO.
Coordinators meet regularly with the
state energy officials in their region,
reach out to other state agencies and
regional organizations, and foster the
development of regional projects
suitable to the needs of the region. We
believe this program will lead toward a
greater trend of regional collaboration
and will provide assistance for states
in reaching their goals.
